Textual Heritage in the days of Heritagisation - Songs and Songbooks

Thinking about all the activities that I have been involved in this year for this project, I am recalling the dynamic exchanges with scholars from around the world, and will post about them here - this first one, on textual heritage, was fascinating because of the idea that heritage can textual heritage as a category, can be understood through sculpture of Indian dance, Japanese musical notation of over 1000 years, or textual information on pyramids. My contribution invoked the importance of not thinking in linear migratory patterns, but the networked rhizomic information akin to portolan charts of the renaissance. More on this soon.
